I’ve just returned from my first ever Star Wars convention – not sure why it’s taken me so long to attend one, given that I’ve been a fan since I was 7! I was thrilled to have attended a panel of one of my favourite concept artists; Doug Chiang, who took us through his working processes, and gave a lot of insight into his long running role as a major designer on the Star Wars films – I envy this man’s career history! 🙂 It was wonderful then, to find him near the exit of the convention centre talking to other fans. I couldn’t resist the photo op!
I’ve done a number of animations for ‘Jeff Wayne’s, WOTW – Live On Stage’ since 2010. Here is a small shot from inside a martian fighting machine depicting a martian navigating, and planning his attack. Cinema 4D and After Effects. Commissioned by Aspect Ratio. A more comprehensive selection of clips and sequences to follow…
Digital advertising created for Lee Evans ‘Access All Arenas’ DVD promotion. These 3 animated elements were displayed in parallel, on London underground escalator digital advertising screens. Cinema 4D and After Effects.
One of three variants (item colour) of an animation I created for Imela, commissioned by Rocket Communications. The case was modelled in Cinema 4D using physical case for reference. The case was then rigged and animated in Cinema 4D to show all the possible positions for use.
Usually when I come across some of my artwork used elsewhere/improperly, or without permission, I pursue the infringer for their cheek, and in some circumstances, seek renumeration for an unauthorised usage (FAQ on this subject coming soon!).
After many months without a proper update, and having not been overly happy with my previous choice of WordPress theme, I finally took a couple of days to source a new look, and start the slightly daunting task of creating and importing new galleries/portfolios.
The Zomajet growth hormone animation I produced for Lime, and its accompanying information package have won a Gold craft award at the PM Society Awards of 2015. Apparently the animation is going down very well with the children who have received it! 🙂 https://pmsociety.org.uk/awards/pm/2015/results/patient-support
In the interests of creating a new, fresher and up to date website in March, I demolished the old one and set about creating its replacement! Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to complete it having become very busy with commercial projects ever since.
